vocology

Beth is a singing technique teacher and vocologist with over 30 years of experience, working with students in the United States and internationally. Her students have performed on Broadway, Off-Broadway, in Regionals and Tours. She has contributed to projects including Sing and Shout For Health: Scientific Insights and Future Directions for Vocology.

Beth has taught masterclasses worldwide on vocal health, foundational anatomy, and the mechanics of healthy technique, with particular expertise in classic musical theater and Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM).

Her pitch-matching strategy, created for singers who consider themselves “tone deaf” or pitch-challenged, was the subject of a research study with Dr. Monica McHenry at New York Medical College. Coming soon: teacher-focused guide for working with pitch-challenged students: Life’s a Pitch and Then You SPING: A Pitch Tutor’s Toolkit.

She especially loves working with students who bring interesting vocal challenges to the studio, with a particular focus on the aging voice and challenges such as essential vocal tremor.
